Artist Lincoln Schatz will videotape art mavens including philanthropist Ann Hatch, curator Larry Rinder, art collector Rene di Rosa, Craigslist founder Craig Newmark, performance artist Annie Sprinkle and San Jose’s Zero 1 founding director Beau Takahara sitting inside a steel and Plexiglas cube for several hours.

Sections of the moving images will overlap on monitors in random compositions conflating past and present time as if it were a dream sequence. The composite portraits form a parallel world.

The show will travel to Miami, New York and La Jolla (San Diego County) after its run at the Catharine Clark Gallery, 150 Minna St., San Francisco.
