Portrait of Selden Paterson is a generative portrait of an art student living in Chicago. By breaking away from the traditional, static modes of portraiture, Lincoln Schatz produces a video composite of the individual immersed in the day-to-day. Schatz’s methodology provides the viewer with a richer, fuller understanding of the sitter, as the video allows one to peek into her daily life.
